Turn off Find My iPhone via Password Recovery
The quickest solution for turn off Find My iPhone Without Password is to start the password recovery procedure. By doing so, you can disable the iPhone's anti-theft feature without knowing the passkey to your iCloud account, even if two-factor authentication is enabled.
Two-factor authentication accounts
Two-factor authentication is the best way to ensure maximum security for your iCloud account. If enabled, it allows you to reset your password only after verifying your identity through a device associated with your Apple ID or your phone number.
To turn off Find My iPhone on an Apple ID with two-factor authentication enabled, sign in to Settings of iOS by pressing on the icon gear wheel present on the home screen of your device, presses on yours name and tap on the item iCloud. If, on the other hand, you have a device with iOS 10.2 or earlier, access the Settings e premi sull'opzione iCloud.
Now, tap on the item Find my iPhone, move the toggle next to the option Find my iPhone da ON a OFF and, on the screen Apple ID password that has opened, type in a wrong password, then press the button twice consecutively disable and tap on the option Reset password. If you have an enabled passcode, simply enter it on the screen to reset your password Access code.
If not (or if you don't remember the code), confirm your phone number by typing it in the field Phone Number, then presses the button NEXT present at the top right and tap the button Reimposta with telephone number.
Within moments, you will receive a SMS with a verification code: if this is not automatically entered in the field verification code, enter it manually to access the next screen.
Then proceed by typing the security code that you have set on one of the other devices associated with your Apple ID and press the button NEXT, then type the new password in the fields Password e Confirmation e fai tap sul pulsating NEXT to complete the procedure. As you can see, the lever next to the item Find my iPhone has automatically moved to OFF without having to type the old or new password.
If, on the other hand, you no longer have access to your phone number and cannot reset your password by following the instructions above, enter your phone number on the screen Confirm phone number, then presses on the voice Don't have access to your registered number? e scegli l'opzione Reset from another device.
On the next screen, you can see the writing A message with instructions has been sent to [device name]: then access the indicated device and follow the instructions shown.
Let's take a practical example: if the paired device is a Mac, you can see the notification at the top right Reset the password. You must therefore press on the item Show on your pulse Reset password, type the new password in the fields New password e Confirm password, press the button Continue twice consecutively and complete the password reset procedure. Finally, take your iPhone and repeat the Find My iPhone deactivation procedure, typing the new one Password set.
Accounts without two-factor authentication
If two-factor authentication is not enabled on your account, sign in to Settings say iOS, fai tap sul tuo name and press on the items iCloud e Find my iPhone. Now, move the lever next to the item Find my iPhone da ON a OFF and, in the new screen that opened, type a wrong password, press the button twice disable and tap on the item Reset password.
On the screen Did you forget your password, verify that the displayed Apple ID is correct and press the button NEXT, then choose one of the password reset options available from Use security questions e Use email.
In the first case, enter yours date of birth e fai tap sul pulsating NEXT, type the answer to the two security questions (set when creating the iCloud account) in the field Response and his bottone award NEXT located at the top right. Then enter the new password in the fields Password e Confirmationpigia sui pulsanti NEXT e end and Find My iPhone will be disabled automatically.
If you have chosen the option Use email, password reset instructions will be sent by email. Then open the email received and tap on the item Reset to connect to the Apple site, then enter the new password in the fields New password e Confirm password e fai tap sul pulsating Reset password.
By choosing this option, the Find My iPhone service will not be deactivated automatically but you will have to log in again Settings of iOS, press on yours name, select the items iCloud e Find my iPhone, move the lever relative to Find my iPhone da ON a OFF and enter the new password.
Disable Find My iPhone Remotely with Password Recovery
If the device on which you mean turn off Find My iPhone it is no longer in your possession, you have a more drastic solution available: remote initialization. Using the remote reset function offered by the Find My iPhone service, you can restore the device to its factory state and, consequently, deactivate Apple's anti-theft service from a PC or another Apple mobile device.
To remotely initialize your iPhone, connect to the iCloud website and press on the voice Forgot l'ID Apple or the password?, then type your Apple ID in the field name@example.com, enter the security code in the field Type the characters in the image and click sul pulsating Continue.
On the next screen, put the check mark next to the item the password to indicate that you want to reset your password and press the button Continue, then choose whether you want to start the recovery procedure via email or via the security questions: put the check mark next to the item Ricevere un'email to receive instructions to the email address associated with your Apple ID, otherwise put the check mark next to the option Answer the security questions to enter the answers you provided when creating your Apple ID. Having made your choice, click the button Continue.
If you have chosen to reset your password via email, press the button Reset contained in the message received and, in the new open window, type twice the new password and click your bottone Reset password.
If, on the other hand, you have chosen to answer the security questions, enter your date of birth in the field Birthday and press pulsating Continue, then enter the response to the two secret questions and presses the button again Continue. After setting the new password of your Apple ID, connected to the main page of the iCloud site, enter your login details in the fields Apple ID e Password and press the icon of arrow but I will access your account.
Now, press on the voice Find iPhone, click the option All devices present at the top and then select the device of your interest to view it on the map. In the new open page, presses on the item Initialize the iPhone (the trash can icon located on the right), confirm your intention by clicking on the option Initialize and enter the new one Password created recently.
The initialization procedure, as mentioned above, will restore the device to the factory state and the user in his possession will then have to proceed with the first configuration as if the iPhone had just been purchased, thus creating a new Apple ID or using one in his possession.
Once the initialization is complete, you can decide to show your phone number or a text message useful to let the new owner of the phone understand what is happening to his iPhone. To do this, in the box displayed on the right, type your phone number in the field Number and press pulsating NEXT, then enter a text message in the field Please enter a message and click on the entry end to confirm your intention.
The iPhone initialization will start as soon as the device is connected to the Internet: until then, you will see the message Initialization pending with the possibility of canceling the operation by pressing the button Initialization abort request. As soon as the initialization has started you will see the message Initialized [time] and the button will appear Remove from account: press it to complete the deactivation of Find My iPhone remotely.
