If you want I will recover the password of your Hotmail account, the first step you need to take is to click here, in order to immediately connect to the Outlook website, the Microsoft webmail service that has taken the place of Hotmail and Windows Live Mail (however, it is also valid for accounts Hotmail type).
To do this, click on the button Log in present in the center of the screen and then type the name of theemail address for which you want to recover the password. On the next screen, click on the entry entry I forgot the password. Re-type your Hotmail email address in the field Email address, phone o Skype name and click NEXT.
Now, depending on what are the means in your possession and, depending on what is the information that you have previously associated with your Hotmail account, you must choose a method for verifying your identity.
Then indicate whether to receive, at the alternative or secondary email address, an email message with the code needed to reset the password (Send e-mail to name***@gmail.it). You can also receive the verification code via SMS (SMS to *** phone number) or use an authentication app, to verify your identity (Use mine app di authenticazione).
So put the check mark next to the option you prefer (based on information about you in Microsoft's possession some options may not appear), type the initial part of the secondary email address or the final part of your mobile number ( depending on the recovery method you have chosen) and continue by clicking on Submit the code.
Alternatively, you can also click the link I already have a code, if you already have a verification code and therefore do not need to receive a new one.
If, for example, you have chosen to receive the code to verify your identity via e-mail, access it, click on the section Incoming mail or inbox of the same and, in the message received from Microsoft, copy the code that was provided to you. Then enter it in the text field that has been shown to you on the screen and click on the button NEXT
If you have chosen to receive the code via SMS, wait a few moments for Microsoft to send you the message containing the code to verify your identity to your mobile number, then enter it in the appropriate field on the Outlook site; then presses the button NEXT.
Have you chosen to recover Hotmail passwords by authenticating via the app? In this case, the code to verify your identity will be provided through the app you use, such as Microsoft Authenticator for Android and iOS. Then type the code received in the appropriate field attached to the Outlook website, and click on Forward.
If, on the other hand, you have selected the option I already have a code, type the verification code that is already in your possession, in the appropriate text field, then presses on NEXT. In all the cases mentioned, if you have activated the two-step verification on your account, you will have to provide a second method of verifying your identity, that is, you will have to receive an additional security code, selecting an option different from the previous ones.
Once this is done, type the new password you intend to use for your Hotmail account in the fields New password e Confirm Password and click sul pulsating NEXT, to complete the procedure.
You don't remember the alternate email address you gave Microsoft in the past, you don't have any Microsoft phone numbers and / or apps associated with your account, and you don't have a verification code? Then check the box next to the item Non ho alcuna di quete info annexed to the section We need to verify your identity then, if you have a recovery code, enter it in the field Code recovery that is shown to you on the screen and presses the button Use recovery code placed at the bottom.
Next, indicate the new password that you intend to use for your Outlook account in the fields New password e Confirm Password and click the button at the bottom of the page to complete the procedure.
As already seen in the previous lines, if the two-step verification is active on your account, before accessing the screen in question you will have to provide a second method of verifying your identity, using the form that is shown to you on the screen.
If, on the other hand, you do not have a recovery code, press the button No and, in the new Web page, type the entry in the field below Where can we contact you?, an alternate email address. After that it exceeds the captcha e pulsing sul pulsating NEXT located at the bottom: this will allow Microsoft to contact you and verify your identity.
Access the section now Incoming mail or inbox of the alternative e-mail address that you have just specified to Microsoft, open the message received from the company, enter the verification code that was delivered to you on the Outlook site and press the button Check.
Once this is done, you will finally be offered the password reset form. Then type the new password you intend to use for your Hotmail account in the fields New password e Confirm Password and click sul pulsating NEXT, to complete the procedure.
At this point you can finally say you are satisfied: you have managed to complete the procedure to recover the Hotmail password. Even if you have not been able to trace your old password, you have regained access to your Hotmail account and now you can go back to managing your inbox and access all Microsoft online services, as if nothing ever happened. I will modify Hotmail password
By carrying out the procedure indicated in the previous chapter, the access key with which to log into your Microsoft account will obviously be changed. In fact, I remind you that the Hotmail / Live / Outlook accounts and the Microsoft account coincide with each other, consequently, the modification of the access credentials for one implies the modification of the access credentials for the other and vice versa. So, if after gaining access to your account, you want to change your password again, you can do it by following the procedures that I indicate in the following lines.
Connect to the official website that allows you to manage Microsoft accounts by clicking here. Then press the button Log into Microsoft located in the center of the screen and fill in the text fields displayed, entering yours email address and Password associated with it, then click on the button again Log in.
On the next screen, click on the menu item Safety that you can see at the top, then press the button Change Password. Then enter the again Password of your e-mail address and click on Log inNow you just have to make a further change of the access key: then use the text fields Current password, New password e Confirm Password and click sul pulsating Save, to confirm the changes made.
