How to change PayPal password from computer
The procedure for change your PayPal password it's quick and easy. All you have to do is connect to the official website of the famous online payment service, access your account settings and choose the option to set a new access key.
To proceed, open the browser you usually use to browse the Internet (eg. Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari etc.), connected to the main PayPal page and click on the button Log in, top right. In the new screen that appears, enter the login credentials associated with your account in the fields Email or mobile number e Password and press pulsating Log in, to login.
On the main screen of your PayPal account, click on the icon rotella d'ingranaggio, at the top right, and select the tab Safety, to access the section Security settings. Then click on the option Update related to the item Password and proceed to change the access key associated with your PayPal account.
If you are wondering what the PayPal password requirements, you must know that the latter must be composed of a minimum of 8 and maximum of 20 characters, of which at least one letter (az), an number (0-9) it's a special character between "!", "@", "#", "$", "%", "^", "&", “*>”;, "(" e ")". Clarified this, in the screenshot Change your password, enter yours Current Password in the appropriate field, type the new one in the fields New password e Confirm new password and click on the button change Password.
If everything went well, you will see the writing Your updated password and, after a few moments, you will be automatically disconnected from your account. Additionally, you will receive a confirmation email to the email address associated with your PayPal account.
At this point, all you have to do is enter yours email address / mobile number in the appropriate field, the new password in the field Password and click on the button Log in, to log back into your PayPal account. It was simple, wasn't it?
How to change PayPal password from the app
Be your intention è change PayPal password from app, I'm sorry to tell you that this is not possible. In fact, the PayPal application for Android and iPhone devices allows you to request and send money, make payments, add and manage your payment cards and much more, but not to change your access key.
However, if you don't have a computer available, you can use the browser installed on your smartphone or tablet (eg. Chrome your android or Safari on iPhone / iPad), connect to the official PayPal website and follow the instructions I gave you in the previous paragraphs of this guide.
Then take your device, start the browser you usually use for browsing the Internet and connect to the main PayPal page. Then press the button Log in, at the top right, enter the email address or mobile number associated with your account in the field Email or mobile number e fai tap sul pulsating NEXT. Then type the Password of your account in the appropriate field and press the button Log in, to login.
At this point, fai tap sulla voce options located at the top left, press the icon of rotella d'ingranaggio in the menu that opens and select the tab Safety. In the new screen that appears, locate the entry Password and press on the relative icon of the pencil.
Once this is done, enter the password associated with your account in the field Current Password, specify the new access key you want to use to access PayPal in the fields New password e Confirm new password and press pulsating change Password.
Again, if the change was successful, you will see the message on the screen Your password has been updated and you will be automatically logged out of your account. At this point, you can start the PayPal app, enter the new access key in the field Password e premere sul pulsating Log in, in order to log into your PayPal account.
In case of problems
If you have followed the instructions I have given you in the previous paragraphs in detail but, despite this, not can you change your PayPal password, I suggest you access the section Help of the famous online payment service and groped to solve your problems in complete autonomy.
To proceed, connect to the official PayPal site, log in to your account (if you have not already done so), select the option Help in the menu located at the top, write "Password" in the field See the frequently asked questions and press the icon of magnifying glass, to view the search results.
